iOS 12 Beta Jailbreak Successful on iPhone X [Video Demo by Liang Chen]

Since few months, the way the jailbreak community was moving forward; a successful jailbreak of iOS 12 was always there on the cards. Finally, it has been made official that iOS 12 Beta 1 has been jailbroken with success. All credit for this amazing feat goes to Liang Chen of Tencent Keen Lab.

However, iOS 12 Beta 1, being the first beta of the operating system, still has about 3 months left before it comes to the public. Hence, it is highly unlikely that Liang Chen will release the jailbreak in public. Chen’s aim was to show that iOS 12 can be jailbroken rather than releasing the same in public domain.

Liang Chen shared the news of his achievement on Twitter by linking his tweet to a video, showcasing jailbreak in progress on iOS 12 Beta 1 on iPhone X. No extra information was provided apart from this.

It is quite obvious that the jailbreak community will throng his tweets with questions and comments. Most tweets even claimed that this is fake and is done just to gain a little publicity. However, the jailbreak is, indeed confirmed, real and official as people working at Tencent Keen Lab don’t have a reputation of sharing the fake news.

With the jailbreak not coming to the public, it is likely that the method involved in jailbreaking iOS 12 Beta 1 will be shared with Apple by the team, so that iOS 12 can be made strong enough to resist jailbreak before reaching out to the common public.

Hence, there is no specific reason for the jailbreak community to rejoice other than the fact that iOS 12 can be jailbroken and somebody else might come up with an alternative way to achieve this feat, as and when iOS 12 is released in the public domain.
