Reinforcing the fact that no matter how strong a firmware is; loopholes always exist, the Pangu Jailbreak team have claimed on Twitter that they have managed to jailbreak iOS 12 running on iPhone XS, Apple’s new iPhone, which is less than a week old in the market and is shipped with the latest A12 Bionic Chip. Just a few days back Security Researchers at Alibaba’s Pandora Labs were successful to do an untethered jailbreak of iOS 12. Does this means that developing a jailbreak tool for iOS 12 will be pretty easy for the hackers? Well! The security teams think it otherwise.
Now, you can unlock any locked iPhone using R-SIM and ICCID on iOS 12. Check here the steps.
Though Pangu has several jailbreak tools associated to its name, it is highly unlikely that the company will make their jailbreak mechanism public. This is because Pangu, recently, has evolved and transformed into a complete private security company. According to the company, jailbreaking iOS 12 on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max will be a tremendously difficult task for the hackers due to new mitigation procedures, like APRR & PAC, utilized by Apple in A12 Bionic Chip to keep the hackers out.
iOS 12 Jailbreak by Pangu [iPhone XS & iPhone XS Max]
Pangu team was, actually, able to bypass the PAC mitigation to successfully jailbreak iOS 12 on iPhone XS. Hence, if the team desires, they can do the same with iPhone XS Max as well. This is because both the devices are constructed over similar A12 Bionic Chip Architecture. This development seriously concerns Apple as they had already released iOS 12 officially, post releasing iOS 12 Beta 10 & Public Beta 9.
However, we can expect iOS 12 to get its loopholes fixed and come back with a stronger update as, reiterating what was mentioned in the beginning, both the companies, Pangu and Alibaba’s Pandora Labs are security research companies and are expected to share the jailbreak data with Apple, which in turn will immediately release a security update for iOS 12.
Can We See iOS 12 Jailbreak Mechanism Coming to the Public?
The possibility of Pangu making its jailbreak process public is, almost, zero. However, there has never been such a fast successful jailbreak of any iOS operating system’s version ever. Hence, the jailbreak community has developed high hopes already for an iOS 12 jailbreak tool becoming public in the recent future. Well! Apple might not let that happen. As of now, let us wait and watch with our fingers crossed. Stay tuned with us for latest jailbreak news and updates.
